Today, the General Assembly of EIM unanimously re-elected as Vice-President Alain Quinet, Director-General Delegate of the French Infrastructure Manager SNCF Réseau (FR).
The President of EIM, Gorm Frimannslund, states: “I welcome the re-election of Alain Quinet to the EIM Board. His long-term experience in line with his other European activities will support EIM and the role of rail infrastructure managers, especially in these challenging times. For me, it is important that we maintain a proactive role on EU and national level, given the numerous EU and national initiatives relevant for our respective organisations.”
Alain Quinet stated that: “I thank the members of EIM for their renewed confidence and support. This is a challenging time for infrastructure managers, as the ongoing pandemic is introducing new questions for our sector and highlighting even more its relevance within a sustainable economy. I shall support EIM in its task to give rail infrastructure managers a strong lever under the European Green Deal and all upcoming EU initiatives relevant for our business. I am looking forward to a close and fruitful cooperation with my colleagues and to contribute to the development of EIM in accordance with its values.”
The General Assembly endorsed the work done in 2020 and the ambitious work plan for 2021 and beyond.
