Today we talk about:
IP investment onthe North-South Corridor (chapter 1)
Do you know that this is the main rail corridor in Portugal, which goes from the northern region of the county all the way to Lisbon? It is a vital corridor for both passenger and freight transport services, connecting some of the most important cities and strategic hubs, from busy ports, airports, logistic platforms and industrial units, and ensuring the country’s integration in the Iberian space, as well as throughout the entire European continent.
Modernizing this corridor takes on the form of a structural investment, which aims at improving railway connections between Portugal’s Atlantic coast and Europe. This includes investments to be carried out in both Minho and North Lines, covering a distance of around 500 kms.
