IP investment on Oeste (West) Line (chapter 5)

Running for around 200 kms, this line travels along Portugal’s Atlantic coast, connecting the West region to Lisbon. Being one of the most dynamic regions of the country, it is known by its white sand beaches, historical heritage sites, as well as its industrial capacity and agricultural production.

In order to boost the mobility and development of the region, IP will upgrade the Oeste line, increasing the rail capacity, improving the comfort and allowing a substantial reduction of the travel times between several cities of the region and Portugal’s capital city.
