The Commission has outlined a broad range of topics it wishes to see tackled in the next TSI Revision Cycle by ERA.

In the letter the Sector associations voice the wish to focus on the high priority deliverables of the ERJU (ERTMS, FRMCS, DAC and operational rules) land in the TSIs. But also the simplification of the TSIs including the processes it lays out on certification and authorisation of rail vehicles and infrastructure.

EIM believes in the need to focus on these topics that ensure an improved performance of the rail system and the technologies and developments to help that. But it also sees that the Sector is helped with having legislative stability for the coming years after the previous TSI revision came into force only recently (last September 2023).
