Today, the General Assembly of EIM unanimously re-elected as its President Gorm Frimannslund, CEO of the Norwegian Infrastructure Manager Bane NOR and as Vice-President Alain Quinet, Executive Director, Strategy & Corporate Affairsof the French Infrastructure Manager SNCF Réseau (FR).
Gorm Frimannslund thanked all the members of EIM by stating that: “I am pleased to be re-elected as President by all members of EIM and I also welcome the re-election of Alain Quinet to the EIM Board. At a time when international developments – such as the war in Ukraine and the energy crisis – impact the railway sector, close and productive cooperation between EIM and its members is essential. The many initiatives coming from the EU and the sector provide challenges but are also an opportunity for IMs to grow. To achieve this, I am looking forward to continuing the excellent cooperation with EIM’s Board Members, Dyan Crowther of HS1 (UK), John Voppen of ProRail (NL) and Alain Quinet of SNCF Réseau (FR) as well as all members of EIM.”
Alain Quinet stated that: “I thank the members of EIM for their renewed confidence and support. I will continue to assist EIM in its task to represent infrastructure managers and provide the members with a guidance under the TEN-T revision and all other upcoming EU initiatives relevant for the sector. I am looking forward to a close and fruitful cooperation with my colleagues and to contribute to the development of EIM.”
The General Assembly endorsed the work done in 2022 and the ambitious work plan for 2023 and beyond.
