Today, the Extraordinary General Assembly of EIM unanimously elected as its President Alain Quinet, Deputy Managing Director of the French Infrastructure Manager SNCF Réseau (FR).
This General Assembly of EIM also unanimously elected one new Vice-President, Agnete Johnsgaard- Lewis, CEO of the Norwegian Infrastructure Manager Bane NOR (NO).
Alain Quinet stated: “I thank all members of EIM for their renewed confidence. I am very honored to chair EIM and to succeed to the former President Miguel Cruz. I look forward to continuing our joint efforts to foster innovation and drive progress across the sector. As rail infrastructure managers, we will work together to deliver the capacity, resilience and digitalisation Europe needs to shift more passengers and freight to rail, strengthen cross-border connections and support a competitive, climate-neutral European transport system.”
Agnete Johnsgaard-Lewis stated: “I would like to thank the members of EIM for their confidence in electing me as Vice-President. I look forward to contributing to EIM’s work to make Europe’s rail network safer, more reliable and customer-oriented, with investment and innovation focused on interoperability, sustainability and better services for all users.”
The General Assembly also endorsed the work accomplished so far in 2026 and approved EIM’s ambitious work plan for the coming months and beyond.
